Kayangan Lake

kaaybanner

Kayangan Lake is one of two lakes in Coron island (out of 8 lakes) that are open to the public. There is a steep 10-15 minute uphill climb of approximately 300 steps towards the inland lake. Midway through the climb is a view deck overlooking the lagoon.

Start the Year Right! (All Roads leads to Taal Volcano’s Crater)

Plan your year right and Travel!

January 01, 2014 with Vryan, Vivian, Camille and Robbie we commute going to Taal’s Crater.

Taal Volcano is a complex volcano located on the island of Luzon in the Philippines.[1] It is the second most active volcano in the Philippines with 33 historical eruptions. All of these eruptions are concentrated on Volcano Island, an island near the middle of Taal Lake. The lake partially fills Taal Caldera, which was formed by prehistoric eruptions between 140,000 to 5,380 BP.[2] Viewed from Tagaytay Ridge, Taal Volcano and Lake presents one of the most picturesque and attractive views in the Philippines.[3] It is located about 50 km (31 mi) south of the capital of the country, the city of Manila.

The volcano had several violent eruptions in the past causing loss of life in the island and the populated areas surrounding the lake, with the death toll estimated at around 5,000 to 6,000. Because of its proximity to populated areas and its eruptive history, the volcano was designated a Decade Volcano, worthy of close study to prevent future natural disasters. All volcanoes of the Philippines are part of the Pacific Ring of Fire.

boat ride: P1500 good for 6 people

Horse back ride : P450: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Meals: a cup of rice and any viand P65

What to expect: Rugged terrain so prepare to be covered by dust. a liter of water could do wonders as a bottle of soft drinks at the crater would cost you P50. the terrain going up the volcano is cinematic and was like your shooting for the next installment of Indiana Jones partIV. lol. Get tips from the guides on how to better ride a horse to prevent butt injuries like what I have experience. I guess it brings good luck riding a horse on this YEAR2014. lol

the trip is highly exhausting but very rewarding when you see the magnificent crater.

Birthday CLIMB #Mt. Batulao

I believe that every birthdays should be celebrated in your most unique way possible. As my birthday nears, I was having hallucinations and experimentations in my mind on what to do on my special day, then Mt Batulao came to me like “Hey” Isn’t it awesome to celebrate one’s birthday on top of a mountain and blow your birthday cupcake while balancing yourself from the harsh wind at the top. – this is exactly what happened.

As we reach the summit, after a few minutes of enjoying the great view of the mountains, rain showers appeared along with the fog covering most of the view at the top.

We took the Old tray as we reach the summit and went on a traverse to the New trail which was way too easy compared to the first trail. I took Jamer and Patrick with me. Jamer also celebrated her birthday at the top enjoyed her first hike while Patrick straight from enjoyed the great scenery even if he still has work soon after.

We reached Evercrest at around 6:30am and readily looked for a guide. We get to the summit after a 2 hour trek.

A New Dimensione: Purple Latte at Subspace Coffee

It has a been a hard week for me as I have been cramming on some reports here and there. There’s also some pressing matters that i need to attend to right away like enduring a 15 hour shift. waaahhhh!!T a stressful week it is. Not to mention a few disappointments that deals with matters of the heart. aw!

Then while browsing the net and Facebook i bump into an article that made me really excited  to visit again. I want a Purple Potato Latte!!!

Image

Its been One year since my last visit to #SubspaceCoffeeHouse and I must say that I honestly miss a cup of their #purpleLatte.

Now with the changing times Subspace #PurpleLatte now boasts a unique craftsmanship by injecting latte art on this particular drink. Even if its really hot outside and while I’m still sweating like a monkey I really need to try it hot —for picture purposes lol.

Aside from its unique drink, Subspace also boasts quite a few interesting pieces that makes the whole vibe very KPop. There’s JYJ, SHINee, Big Bang, Super Junior, 2NE1 and IU that is played on the background. Perfect combination while savoring their new dish they named “BigBang Waffle” made of waffle, tomato, bacon, egg and ham.
